Big Riverz is the new, trans-Atlantic, country-pop project from Rae Spoon, Sofia Hicks, and Sarah Danger — a trio of seasoned musicians writing love songs big enough to fill a pickup truck bed and tender enough to text your ex at golden hour. Break It Like A Sunrise is their debut eight song album.
Formed across Montréal, London, and Leeds, Big Riverz brings together years of shared stage time (including Spoon, Hicks, and Danger’s run in the beloved queer pop-punk band Jesus and His Judgmental Father) and a mutual affection for the kind of music that wears its heart on its rhinestone-studded sleeve. Think: sunset harmonies, late-night longing, and choruses made for singing into your steering wheel.
Their sound blends 90s alt influences and classic Americana with just the right amount of camp — inspired by artists like Bonnie Raitt, Hole, Chappell Roan, and Sheryl Crow. Big Riverz plays for those who struggled to see themselves in country love songs and decided to write their own. Watch for UK live dates in summer 2027!
